The Bamboo Family Market is a little different from your average Thai community market.
You will not find junky stuff, synthetic fragrances, factory-produced goods, GMOs, loads of plastic, or cheap and nasty disposable rubbish.
What you will find are high-quality, local, artisanal, organic, eco-friendly, and sustainable products.
It all happens on the first Saturday of every month at Din Cafe, just at the intersection of Canal Road and the Samoeng Road.

The market starts at 8 am and finishes around 3 pm. You’ll find fresh organic produce and local fruit, delicious traditional foods, hand-made goods, crafts, plants, and just a lovely community vibe.
There is plenty of shade and shelter, so don’t let the possibility of a sprinkle of rain or too much sun deter you. Please bring your own basket or carry bag, reusable cup, straw, and a box or two to carry home some amazing yumminess.
*Pro Tip: The Lake Inle Lotus Noodles are amazing so make sure you get some before they sell out!
There is parking available and also a nice cafe on site, a naturally-focused pharmacy and clean toilets.
Din Cafe is a great place to work and hang out any time, but it’s especially fun and happening on Bamboo Market Day.
